The exhibition highlights how much the landscape relief of the Labské Sandstone region has been shaped by human activity in the extraction of building stone. Photographic documentation from the field shows how to identify abandoned quarries in the landscape.

A regional history museum housed in the former Förster textile-dyeing factory, where it has been based since the end of World War II. Founded in 1902 on the initiative of the Humboldt Society, it has operated as a branch of the Oblastní muzeum in Děčín since 1977. The permanent exhibition "Střípky z historie" (Fragments of History) covers the history of the Rumburk area and the Šluknov Salient, with dedicated sections on the music salon of August Stradal - the last pupil of Franz Liszt - and the studio of painter August Frind. The ground floor hosts an exhibition on the Rumburk Mutiny.
