Brno-střed is the city district forming the historic and administrative centre of Brno. The town hall at Dominikánská 2 organises social, cultural and leisure events for residents and tourists – including an open-air cinema in the courtyard, the Uprostřed festival, Christmas and Easter markets at Zelný trh, and the traditional Otevřená radnice open-house event. Cultural and educational activities are provided by the municipal organisation Kávéeska, which encompasses Divadlo Polárka theatre, Klub Leitnerka, and other leisure centres.
