A lecture by Lenka Hrabalová on contemporary Iran: what travel in the country is like, the current situation there, and how the once-powerful Persian Empire came to be where it is today.
Lenka Hrabalová studied Arabic and Persian at Charles University's Faculty of Arts and Palacký University in Olomouc. She has worked in the Middle East and North Africa for fifteen years as a guide, researcher, traveller, and journalist. She is the author of five books and numerous articles and lectures.
On the day of the lecture, an interactive exhibition of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes will be open from 16:30. A ticket from the exhibition visit entitles you to free entry to the lecture (18:30) – this offer is valid until the exhibition's capacity is reached. The visit lasts approximately 90 minutes and tickets can be purchased online.
