Designer Workshop: Drawing Spot Coffee Pot with Marie Špačková

This workshop is led by designer Marie Špačková and focuses on drawing as a tool for personal expression. Participants will draw with pencil directly on ceramic mugs; subsequent glazing and firing will fix the drawing and give it a permanent form.

The workshop loosely connects to the exhibition of William Kentridge and his Self-Portrait as a Coffee Pot cycle — a film series in which the artist reflects on the creative process, drawing, and the functioning of the studio as a space for thinking through dialogue with his alter egos.

Marie Špačková is a designer focused on ceramics and jewelry. In her work, she combines playfulness, experimentation, and a feel for materials, working with simple gestures and their translation into physical objects.

The workshop price includes an original mug by Marie Špačková. After firing, it will be ready for pickup at the Kunsthalle Praha reception within 14 days.
