Best Czech Slam Poetry 2025

Slam Poetry CZ crew will launch a collection of the best texts from 2025. The evening takes place at Dock club with the Czech slam scene and special guest Valerio Moser (Switzerland), winner of the 2025 European Championship. Two texts in foreign languages will be complemented by translations projected directly on stage. The evening is hosted by Bob Hýsek.

Performers:

- Malda – finalist in the 2022 Czech National Championship in slam poetry and 2023 Czech champion. He studied English for translation and interpreting and is currently studying film at Palacký University.
- Sofie – from Liberec, studies Czech and Polish philology at Palacký University in Olomouc. She has been writing slam poetry since 2022 and became a finalist in the 2023 Czech National Championship. In her free time, she runs the project Poetry Is Not Boring: Slam Poetry for Schools in schools.
- Krála – 2023 Czech vice-champion and two-time Femislam champion (2023, 2024). A student of cultural anthropology from the Ústí Region.
- Růny – Brno-based author with a baritone voice and distinctive humour, writes verses with exaggeration.
- Valerio Moser (Switzerland) – 2024 Swiss champion and 2025 European champion. Moderator, creative writing and performance lecturer, member of the band Moder und Sauerland. His first book "Ein Tablett voll glitzernder Snapshots" was published in 2023.

The event is co-financed by the City of Ostrava and the Ministry of Culture.
