Děčín City Celebrations 2026

Děčín City Celebrations 2026 run from mid-May through early June, offering a diverse programme for the whole family. The celebrations open with the traditional floral design competition Děčínská kotva (13–17 May), featuring this year's novelty – the Flower Gallery, with original floral installations displayed throughout the city centre. On Friday 15 May, a torchlit procession will depart from Husova Square to the Southern Castle Gardens. Over the weekend of 16–17 May, Děčín Castle comes alive with the Historical May Market, featuring craftwork, period music, jugglers, fencers and dancers (admission 70 CZK adults, 50 CZK children); the programme also includes the Battle for the City of Děčín on Mariánská Meadow. Saturday 16 May is dedicated to the family event Young Labe on Smetana Embankment. On 23 May, the Ride for Pleasure takes place, showcasing vintage cars and historic buses, while Mariánská Meadow hosts the Sculptors of Děčín event alongside Foster Care Day and the Bělásek Competition. The musical highlight of the celebrations is the two-day Labefest festival (29–30 May) on Smetana Embankment directly beneath Děčín Castle – featuring performers such as Richard Müller, Sharlota, Lollipopz, Kašpárek v rohlíku, Cocotte Minute, Sebastian, Kurtizány z 25. Avenue, Noisy Pots and The Cello Boys. Labefest includes Neckyáda (a competitive Labe river race), fireworks, Silent Disco, stand-up comedy and a talk show. The celebrations conclude on 6 June with a sports programme – Adrenaline Challenge Kids and the Labe Streetball Cup.
