Barbora Šaroun Šemberová – Rozpustit kořeny

KC VOZOVNA, Prague

An exhibition of drawings and paintings by Barbora Šaroun Šemberová captures wetlands, meadows, and hidden corners of the landscape, woven with stories of Czech demonology and real human fates. The opening reception takes place on April 29, 2026 at 6 p.m., and the exhibition runs from April 30 to June 25, 2026 at KC Vozovna in Žižkov.

Barbora Šaroun Šemberová (born 1992) studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the studio of Professor Michael Rittstein and later with Josef Bolf and Jakub Hošek, graduating in 2021. She earned her bachelor's degree in Illustration and Book Binding from the Faculty of Design and Art Ladislav Sutnar in Plzeň. In her work, she focuses on folk stories, traditions, and their connection to natural cycles. She works with painting and drawing, fascinated by how color combinations alone can tell a story and evoke emotions. The exhibition can be visited during KC Vozovna's opening hours (Mon–Fri 11 a.m.–5 p.m., and longer during events). The centre is located at Hartigova 2687/164, Prague 3. The nearest public transport stop is Vozovna Žižkov, a 2–3 minute walk away.
