Ghosts of the Old Town

An interactive guided walk around Old Town Square in Prague.

The "Ghosts of the Old Town" tour takes participants through famous landmarks and hidden corners around Old Town Square. An experienced guide in costume will introduce them to historical stories and tales of 12 ghosts of historical figures and spirits – including how to save the Black Knight on Platnérská Street from his curse.

The family-friendly route passes through Old Town Square, past the Maisel Synagogue, Karolinum and Clementinum, with detours to Ungelt or Karlova Street. It starts and ends at Mariánské náměstí, lasts 2 hours, and covers just under 3 km. Participants receive a small gift at the end.

The event runs year-round in all weather conditions. Group capacity is limited; tickets must be purchased in advance. At least 12 hours before the scheduled time, the organizer will send an email with the exact meeting point and organizational details – participants must arrive 5 minutes before the start. In case of illness, the organizer will offer an alternative date.
