Beauties of the Night Sky
Hvězdárna a planetárium prof. Františka Nušla, Jindřichův Hradec
The opening of a landscape astrophotography exhibition by Andrei Fojtíková and Miroslava Nečasová takes place on Wednesday, 21 January 2026 at 17:00 at the Observatory and Planetarium of Prof. František Nušl in Jindřichův Hradec. The artists will present a selection of photographs documenting the starry sky, constellations, the Milky Way, night landscapes bathed in moonlight, light phenomena, and rare astronomical events.
The opening includes a guided tour of the exhibition with commentary from the artists themselves, followed by a lecture titled "Joys and Challenges of Landscape Astrophotography" and a discussion. Andrei Fojtíková began photography as a relaxing hobby and gradually became fascinated by capturing the night sky in combination with landscapes. Miroslava Nečasová spent many years pursuing landscape and travel photography, then focused on photographing fauna and flora, to which astrophotography was gradually added.
The exhibition will be on display at the observatory until the end of 2026.
