Costume Tours – Historical Costume Rental at Milotice Castle

Costume tours at Milotice State Castle run from April 4 to November 1, 2026. Visitors can rent replicas of period clothing – Baroque, Rococo, or Romantic – made directly in the castle's sewing workshop. The rental collection features 180 costumes in various sizes, available for children from 1 year old. Costumes are rented for 30 minutes, during which visitors can walk unguided through the French garden, English park, orangeries, and courtyards while taking photographs. Access to the castle interior in costume is not permitted (except for school costume tours in May and June). In case of rain, the walk is limited to the castle arcades, inner courtyard, and orangeries. Advance booking is required – via the booking form on the website or by phone. Payment is made at the castle cashier in the inner courtyard. Exceeding the 30-minute limit incurs a fine of 380 CZK per person. Visitors can also rent a historical carriage (pram) for a child – 160 CZK (small) or 200 CZK (large), or photography with the carriage only for 60 CZK. For kindergartens and grades 1–3 of primary schools, special costume tours are available in May and June, where children become guests of the Milotice countess, learn court etiquette, dance, and fence with live period music accompaniment.
