Free Public Transport in České Švýcarsko – Tourism Support Initiative
České Švýcarsko, o. p. s., Krásná Lípa
free entry / doprava free
The free public transport programme in České Švýcarsko launched on 1 November 2022 and remains in effect until further notice. It was introduced in response to the devastating wildfire that swept through the national park in August 2022, with the aim of encouraging tourists to return to the region and supporting the local economy.
Any visitor who stays in the destination for at least two nights receives a DÚKpass voucher — featuring a generated QR code — from their accommodation provider. Scanning the QR code in the DÚKapka app (available for iOS and Android) unlocks a free all-day network travel ticket for every day of the stay, including the day of arrival.
DÚKpass is issued for adults (18+) and children aged 6–18 (children under 6 travel free), and can also be issued for groups of up to 6 people. The ticket is valid not only within České Švýcarsko but across the entire Ústecký kraj wherever the DÚK fare applies — including the shuttle bus Janov–Hřensko–Mezná (Shuttlebus 441), Kamenický Šenov, Dubá, Kralupy nad Vltavou, and Rakovník.
Vouchers are distributed by accommodation providers participating in the scheme and by the tourist information centre in Krásná Lípa (Křinické nám. 1161/10, tel. 775 552 789). The programme was developed by the Ústecký kraj regional authority in cooperation with the public-benefit organisation České Švýcarsko and the Czech Ministry of Regional Development.
