Fléda, Brno

from 390 Kč · ≈ 16 €

Iberian Waves brings to Brno a survey of contemporary music from the Iberian Peninsula — from tradition-inspired forms to electronic music. The evening will feature four artists who blend local roots with current musical language.

Amorante is a project by Basque multi-instrumentalist and ethnomusicologist Iban Urizara, whose work draws from Basque folk traditions and merges them with experimentation, improvisation, and electronics. Musgö is a Spanish harpist, singer, and electronic composer from Andalusia who combines harp, voice, and subtle electronics with inspiration from folk and pop. Nayr Faquirá is a Portuguese singer, producer, and composer with Mozambican roots; her work blends r'n'b, soul, hip-hop, afrobeat, and world music — her debut album Entrelinhas was released in 2025. Meta_ is a Portuguese singer, composer, and producer from the Trás-os-Montes region who merges voice, field recordings, and electronics with traditional vocal forms; her debut album "XIV – A Integração" (Shika Shika, 2023) premiered at the Primavera Sound Porto festival and received a four-star rating in Songlines magazine.

The festival is organized by Palác Akropolis in collaboration with Fléda, Instituto Cervantes, and Instituto Camões. The project is supported by Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) as part of the PICE program and the Liveurope initiative co-funded by the Creative Europe program of the European Union.
