Mole Stone Cyanide
Mole Stone Cyanide is a theatrical performance created in collaboration between KALD DAMU students and the ResisTerra research team at the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University.
The performance examines various forms of resistance by non-human beings who rebel against the anthropocentric system – moles undermine golf courses, bark beetles devour spruce plantations, weeds return through cracks in pavement, fungi sabotage development projects, and whales attack motorboats. The unpredictability and wildness of non-human beings becomes visible in moments when events unfold differently than humans intended.
The creators draw from ethnographic research and texts by anthropologists, bringing stories to the stage about a world in which safety, care, and the future are not solely human concerns. They invite the audience to listen to non-human voices and imagine a world of greater inter-species solidarity.
