Multicreations: Tomáš Šrámek – Stone & Horn: The Opera

Tomáš Šrámek's graduate project from the Department of Composition and Multimedia Creation (Multimedia Creation programme) will premiere on Monday, 11 May at 19:00.

The punk opera Stone & Horn: The Opera is the author's bachelor project and a spin-off of his master's film Stone and Horn (2022). The original film is a musical comedy following the lives of five twenty-somethings in a garage band called High Society. The opera focuses on one of five storylines — drummer Jonáš and his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Kika, whose romantic and value-based paths have diverged. The narrative retrospectively traces the evolution of their relationship from the past to the present. The contrast between punk music and operatic singing symbolizes the difference between their two worlds.
