The Olomouc Quartet brings its concert To nejlepší z muzikálů (The Best of Musicals) to Ostrava on Friday, 12 June 2026 at the Evangelical Church of Christ. This is the first of five Czech tour dates, followed by performances in Brno. The sixty-minute programme features popular melodies from Czech and international musicals, including The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, and others. The Evangelical Church of Christ, also known as the Red Church, is a historic brick building constructed in 1905–1907 with a distinctive 60-metre tower and is registered as a cultural monument. Admission from 400 CZK.

About the venue: Evangelical Church of Christ

The Evangelical Church of Christ in Ostrava, also known as the Red Church, was built in 1905–1907 to designs by Viennese architects Karel Troll and Ludvík Faigl. The single-nave brick building with a 60 m asymmetric tower is a listed cultural monument. Its interior features a marble altar, an oak pulpit, and a wooden coffered ceiling that gives the church excellent acoustics, making it a venue for concerts as well. Since 2009 the church has been jointly owned by the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren and the Silesian Evangelical Church A. C.
