Acid Mothers Temple + Olaf Olafsonn and the Big Bad Trip
MeetFactory, Prague

Japanese space rock collective Acid Mothers Temple returns to Prague after seven years. This time they will perform at Prague's MeetFactory as part of their European tour.
AMT was founded in the mid-1990s and has since released over one hundred albums, numerous EPs, and recordings from their annual tours. Their music—a combination of kaleidoscopic jams, hypnotic riffs, freak-out improvisations, cyclical rhythms, and synthesizer textures—they themselves call "trip music".
Opening the show will be Olaf Olafsonn and the Big Bad Trip, an instrumental group from the Czech psychedelic scene. Beyond rock psychedelia, they explore jazz, folk, and black metal, and are known for masked performances and a strong emphasis on visual presentation. They have collaborated with 1000mods, Valley of the Sun, Devil and the Almighty Blues, Der Blutharsch and the Infinite Church of the Leading Hand, and Bön.
After two acoustic albums from 2021, the band returned to electric sound in an expanded lineup (with pianist and new drummer). In October 2024 they released the album Soul Retrieval; a new album My Spirit Animal is planned for 2026.
