An evening tour of the Piarist church will showcase its high-Baroque architecture in an unusual light: the altar illuminated by light effects, laser-cross beams intersecting the vaults, and contemporary art installations placed throughout the church.

About the venue: Litomyšl Monastery Gardens

Klášterní zahrady (Monastery Gardens) in Litomyšl is a public park of over one hectare situated next to the former Piarist monastery, between two churches of the town and close to the castle. The gardens were created through a reconstruction completed in 2000, designed by architects Zdeněk Sendler, Václav Babka and Radko Květ. Visitors can enjoy a gazebo with a view over the town, flower beds, and a pool with a sculptural group donated to the town by sculptor Olbram Zoubek. During the Smetanova Litomyšl festival, the gardens serve as an accompanying open-air stage.
