Pedro Líndez – "The Silence of Ordinary Things"
Exhibition by Spanish painter and graphic artist Pedro Líndez at Kobka č. 17 on Smíchovská Náplavka, Prague | 6–14 July 2026

About the Artist
Pedro Líndez was born in the Spanish city of Úbeda, listed on UNESCO's World Heritage register for its Renaissance architecture. He came to visual art on the recommendation of a teacher, without prior experience. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Seville, where he focused on traditional artistic techniques. After returning to Úbeda, he turned to graphic art and engraving – his project La Galga won a regional award for best graphic work, and the city council invited him to create the official poster for the town's celebrations.

In his work, he concentrates on everyday objects and situations: fruit, the gleam of sardines, portraits of loved ones. Recurring motifs include greyhounds, traditional tiles, his grandparents' courtyards, and other elements of personal and regional memory. He interprets the cultural and religious context of his region through contemporary visual language. He currently works in his studio in Úbeda, which he shares with his partner Carmen, who specializes in restoration and upholstery of antique furniture.
