The exhibition traces the footprints of art history on the contemporary art scene through ceramic clay. Here, older sculptures made from fired clay meet contemporary works that preserve imprints of the past.

About the venue: 8smička

8smička is an art zone in Humpolec, housed in a former textile factory that produced broadcloth from the late 19th century. Reconstructed in 2016-2018, it opened in April 2018 and has since staged three exhibitions of modern and contemporary Czech art each year. The three-storey building holds exhibition spaces, a permanent collection display, a bookshop, a café, and programmes for schools and families. Admission to the exhibitions is a token 8 CZK.
