A lecture by Japanologist PhDr. Alice Kraemerová on Japanese forest spirits.

Alice Kraemerová studied Japanology and English studies, then worked as a professional interpreter, translator, and lecturer in Japanese and English. In the 1980s, she served as a research assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University in Prague. In the 1990s, she helped establish the Japanology programme at the Faculty of Philosophy of Palacký University in Olomouc.

From 1998 to 2014, she managed the Japanese and Korean collection at the Náprstek Museum, where she curated numerous exhibitions and publications on Japanese culture and art. Today she works as an emeritus curator of the Japanese collection at the Náprstek Museum and, in collaboration with the Spěváček Music School, lectures on Japanese culture. In 2015, she received the Order of the Rising Sun with Rosette for her long-standing promotion of Japanese culture.
