Gala Opening Concert: European Paths of Classicism

The opening concert of the Wranitzky Kapelle orchestra takes place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026 in the representative hall of Troja Castle in Prague. The ensemble performs 18th-century classical music under the subtitle "An Austrian in Bohemia, an Italian in Austria" — the programme features works by Florian Leopold Gassmann, Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf, Josef Mysliveček, and Antonio Salieri. Troja Castle, an early Baroque building from 1679 in Prague 7, is the only castle within Prague's territory and architecturally resembles a Roman country villa. This concert is one of two Czech dates for Wranitzky Kapelle; the second performance takes place in November in Šumperk.
