It was founded by conductor Marek Štilec and gave its first concert at the Karlskirche in Vienna in April 2019. The ensemble is based in Nová Říše in the Vysočina region - birthplace of the Vranický brothers, whose name it bears - and pays particular attention to Czech composers active in 18th-century Vienna. It has appeared at festivals including Allegro Vivo and the Helsinki Baroque Music Festival.
