About

Wranitzky Kapelle is a Czech chamber orchestra focused on historically informed performance of Viennese classical music. It was founded by conductor Marek Štilec and gave its first concert at the Karlskirche in Vienna in April 2019. The ensemble is based in Nová Říše in the Vysočina region - birthplace of the Vranický brothers, whose name it bears - and pays particular attention to Czech composers active in 18th-century Vienna. It has appeared at festivals including Allegro Vivo and the Helsinki Baroque Music Festival.
