FAMU 80: Department of Directing

FAMU and its Department of Directing celebrate 80 years of existence. The programme offers a selection of exercises and short films created by students during their studies — from first-year etudes through second-year films to bachelor's and graduate works.

From a selection of short films from the past twenty years, the following will be screened, among others: "Baba" by Zuzana Kirchnerová, the winning film of the student section Cinéfondation at Cannes; "Nora sa mi páči" by the late filmmaker Aramis; as well as "Sugar and Salt", "The Eighth Day" and "Dog and Wolf" by director Tereza Halamová, recently awarded the Czech Lion.
