The Olomouc Quartet string ensemble will perform Rock Classics at the Evangelical Church of Christ in Ostrava, illuminated by a thousand candles. The programme features string arrangements of hits from world-renowned rock bands — including Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), Sweet Child O' Mine (Guns N' Roses), Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana), and compositions by Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, U2, Deep Purple, and The Beatles. The intimate atmosphere of the church and candlelight give these well-known rock classics an entirely new emotional dimension. Concert duration: 65 minutes. About the venue: Evangelical Church of Christ

The Evangelical Church of Christ in Ostrava, also known as the Red Church, was built in 1905–1907 to designs by Viennese architects Karel Troll and Ludvík Faigl. The single-nave brick building with a 60 m asymmetric tower is a listed cultural monument. Its interior features a marble altar, an oak pulpit, and a wooden coffered ceiling that gives the church excellent acoustics, making it a venue for concerts as well. Since 2009 the church has been jointly owned by the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren and the Silesian Evangelical Church A. C.
