Director Jiří Mádla's film "Vlny" tells the little-known stories of journalists from Czechoslovak Radio. In the late 1960s, the older of two brothers joins a prestigious radio newsroom and soon finds himself in a dangerous confrontation with the secret police.

As events spiral, everyone's life is at stake, and the protagonist faces a crucial choice: protect his brother, or the truth and his colleagues?

The film is inspired by the true story of a group of journalists from the International Service of Czechoslovak Radio and their determination to bring independent news at any cost.
