The Pied Piper is one of the most successful original Czech musicals of all time. The Prague production of the story about a mysterious man in a cape with a pipe had over seven hundred performances and was seen by nearly half a million spectators.
The premiere took place in November 1996. That same month, the albums The Pied Piper I and The Pied Piper II were released, and they soon received Gold certification.
