Lucifuge is a German black/thrash metal band drawing on speed metal, punk, NWOBHM, and first-wave black metal influences. Their sound is raw, fast, and dark, paying homage to acts like Venom, Bathory, Hellhammer, and Sodom. Their release Hexensabbat showcases their dedication to old-school extreme metal.

🎸 About: Venom

Venom is a British heavy metal band from Newcastle, formed in the late 1970s. Their albums Welcome to Hell (1981) and Black Metal (1982) were foundational to the development of black metal, thrash metal, and death metal. Their raw, aggressive sound and satanic imagery influenced countless extreme metal acts worldwide.

🎸 About: Bathory

Bathory is a Swedish black metal and Viking metal project founded in Stockholm in 1983 by Quorthon (born Ace Forsberg). The band is widely regarded as a pioneer of both black metal and Viking metal genres. Quorthon led the project until his death in 2004.

🎸 About: Hellhammer

Hellhammer was a Swiss extreme metal band active from 1981 to 1984, widely regarded as a foundational influence on black metal and death metal. Their raw, primitive sound and dark imagery shaped countless bands that followed. After disbanding, the core members went on to form Celtic Frost.

🎸 About: Sodom

Sodom is a German thrash/black metal band formed in 1981 in Gelsenkirchen. They are considered pioneers of German thrash metal and part of the Teutonic thrash trinity alongside Kreator and Destruction. Their early releases, such as the EP In the Sign of Evil (1984), had a major influence on the first wave of black metal.
