Tribute to Hana Hegerova in Chomutov

A musical tribute to the first lady of Czechoslovak chanson, performed by Zuzana Nemcova Smejkalova. The programme features twenty-five chansons and two hours of memories - including songs such as Barova lavice, Boze muj, Milord, Potmesily host, Ceresne and other pieces from Hana Hegerova's repertoire.

The concert has already been performed in Ostrava, Podebrady, Kutna Hora, Nachod and in the Vypustek cave, in the Prague church of Sts. Simon and Jude (FOK), and in the Olomouc amphitheatre, as well as in municipal theatres, chamber halls and churches.

Zuzana Nemcova Smejkalova, a singer with a velvety deep voice and theatrical memory in every syllable, does not imitate Hana Hegerova - she gives breath back to her songs. Jana Otahalova plays piano, and Jakub Nemec accompanies on drums.

"Hana Hegerova cannot be imitated. One can only prolong the life of her work and look into it with respect. Long live Hegerova."
