Robinson the Castaway

A playful, adventurous performance combining drama and pantomime, loosely inspired by Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe. It tells the story of the desire for adventure, the child within each of us, and the power of imagination - and also that before embarking on an adventure, one must learn many things to cope with unexpected situations. And that there's no place like home.

A theatrical character of a room painter experiences a story with children inspired by his childhood dream of becoming a brave sailor. Together they must figure out how to survive in the wild, start a fire, build a house, and understand how important it is not to be alone. His work tools transform through the power of imagination into ships, animals, cannibals, pirates, a talking parrot, and other things.

Performance length is 55 to 60 minutes, without intermission.
