The Play That Went Wrong

A hilarious comedy about the chaotic staging of a proper English detective play, which reveals the wonderfully absurd possibilities of theatre within theatre.

An amateur theatre company is mounting another premiere. The director is delighted that this time the cast perfectly matches the number of company members, they've managed to secure a generous sponsor, and nothing stands in the way of success. No casting problems, let alone technical hitches.

But once the show gets underway, one funny mishap follows another, and under pressure everyone begins to lose their nerve. Actors, stage manager, and technicians face all the pitfalls of theatre with admirable enthusiasm and lamentable incompetence. Will they manage to get the show back on track before the final curtain falls?
