A traditional celebration featuring duck and goose specialities, held at the Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Hejnice.

About the venue: Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Baroque Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Hejnice is one of the most important Marian pilgrimage sites in northern Bohemia and a national cultural monument. Its centuries-long pilgrimage tradition has earned it the nickname "the Bohemian Mariazell". The present twin-towered church dates from the 1730s and stands beside a former Franciscan monastery. It houses a Gothic Mater Formosa statuette from the 14th century and the field altar of Albrecht von Wallenstein.
