Description was written before the event

PUPEK is an exploration of the complexities and details of Central Europe. Eight dancers, musicians and performers, drawing on Milan Kundera's words, challenge tired wisdom and lazy generalizations.

About the venue: Švanda Theatre

Švandovo divadlo na Smíchově is a Prague city theatre with a tradition dating back to 1881, when it was founded by Pavel Švanda ze Semčic. After extensive renovation it reopened in 2002. It has two performance spaces – the Large Hall (300 seats) and the basement Studio (44–100 seats). The repertoire features productions by the resident drama ensemble as well as guest companies; it is the first Prague drama theatre to offer English surtitles.
