from 510 Kč · ≈ 21 €
The Lughnasad International Celtic Culture Festival takes place on 31 July and 1 August 2026 at the Celtic open-air museum Země Keltů in Nasavrky. This jubilee 20th edition features the story of the conqueror Brennus as its main theme, with visual design by Czech artist Jakub Vaniš, known by the pseudonym Raven from the North. The festival is organized by the Boii association in cooperation with Keltský archeopark Nasavrky and has received the EFFE award from the European Festivals Association for 2026 and 2027.
During the day, visitors can enjoy a historical programme featuring demonstrations of ancient crafts and combat, archaeology lectures, workshops, and Irish and Scottish dance classes. In the evenings of both Friday and Saturday, concerts of Celtic and Irish music by Czech and international bands take place. The festival culminates in a procession with the grain goddess and a closing harvest thanksgiving ritual.
Children have a full-festival game running Friday 10:00–18:00 and Saturday 9:00–18:00 throughout the oppida site, plus Celtic fairy tale readings, theatrical performances, and a mini-battle. A quiet tent with a nursing and changing area is available in the grounds.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through SMSticket (from 750 CZK to 2,700 CZK) or on-site. Parking and camping near the site are free. The event takes place in all weather conditions.
