About: MarZ

The Prague quintet MarZ has carved out one of the most distinctive sounds on the Czech independent scene: Markéta Zdeňková's Czech-language songwriting, Štěpán Janoušek's trombone woven into the arrangements, and a genre reach spanning folk, jazz and alternative. Their third album #silnouzenou (2024) drew strong reviews from press and listeners alike.
