Ondra Kozák + Alishi

Alishi is a folk singer-songwriter and guitarist living in Moravian Karst. Her songs draw from personal stories and carry traces of wildness, intimacy, and the melancholy of nature. Musically she moves between folk, blues, and Americana, performing at major festivals as well as smaller clubs and cafés.

Since 2021, she has performed over 200 concerts as a solo artist. In 2024, she won the main prize at the Porta festival and released her debut album "Holka do deště" (Girl in the Rain). She now performs both as a solo artist and with her band Alishi trio.

Ondra Kozák is one of the most distinctive figures on the Czech and European bluegrass scene. During his performances, he switches between several instruments - guitar, violin, mandolin, bass guitar, and dobro - combining instrumentals, vocals in various languages, and his own compositions with well-known songs in distinctive arrangements, all accompanied by witty spoken commentary.

He performs solo, in a duo with Radim Zenkl, and with his band New Aliquot. He teaches music throughout Europe and the USA. He has won the title Guitarist of the Year five times in the Czech Bluegrass Association poll, his composition won the American Mike Auldridge Instrumental Composition Contest, and with various bands he has won the title European Band of the Year four times at the French La Roche Bluegrass Festival. On his own platform ATAmusic, he publishes educational materials, a podcast, and organizes music workshops.
