General Golian

In 1944, János and Jarmila Golian welcome their long-awaited child in fascist Slovakia, in the midst of World War II and just three weeks before an armed uprising against the German aggressor erupts. The child is to be named after Brigadier General János Golian himself. The couple faces a profound dilemma: heroism or family?

At stake is Slovakia's future and the future of their son. In a country still allied with Nazi Germany, one man bears the main responsibility for events that will later be inscribed in Slovak history as the Slovak National Uprising.
