Brno in the Nazi Era

A guided historical walking tour with Martin Koplík exploring the period of Nazi occupation of Brno — a time when the city lost many significant buildings and centuries of coexistence between Czechs, Germans, and Jews came to an end.

Participants will visit sites where the fates of Brno's Jews were decided, buildings of Nazi and Protectorate institutions, and reflect on the stories of heroes and victims. The tour includes projections of period photographs and testimonies from eyewitnesses.

The tour was created by historian Michal Konečný, with Martin Koplík as guide. The meeting point is in the foyer of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes Brno on the 1st floor.
