Tribute to Hana Hegerova in Aš

A tribute to Hana Hegerova performed by Zuzana Nemcova Smejkalova. The programme features twenty-five chansons and two hours of memories, including songs such as Barova lavice, Boze muj, Milord, Potmesiluv host and Ceresne.

The ensemble has previously performed in Ostrava, Poděbrady, Kutna Hora, Nachod and in the Vypustek cave, as well as in the Prague church of St. Simon and Jude (FOK) and in the Olomouc amphitheatre, and has also played in municipal theatres, chamber halls and churches.

Zuzana Nemcova Smejkalova sings with a velvety, deep voice. She does not imitate Hana Hegerova, as she herself says - she strives to restore breath to her work. Jana Otahalova plays piano, Jakub Nemec plays percussion.

"Hana Hegerova cannot be imitated. One can only prolong the life of her work and look into it with respect. Long live Hegerova."
