Haydn Conducts Vaňhal

Musica Florea in collaboration with the international Jan Křtitel Vaňhal Society presents world premieres of works by Jan Křtitel Vaňhal that were conducted by Joseph Haydn. The musical scores of these compositions have never been published in print.

The project continues last year's concert series celebrating Vaňhal as a major figure of Czech Classicism. A composer who performed alongside Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf, Joseph Haydn, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Vaňhal was highly esteemed in his time but fell into near oblivion due to the course of history.
