The 41st Meeting of Folk Musicians celebrates the 100th anniversary of ethnographer Milada Bimková's birth. Milada was a pedagogue and collector of folk songs and dances. The event brings together different generations of musicians and singers who will showcase the richness of Czech and Moravian folk culture. The programme honours her lifelong work with folk music and dance, featuring repertoire from the regions she studied - Kyjovsko, Podluží, and Uherskohradišťské Dolňácko.

The main programme starts at 16:00 with performances by CM Trnka, CM Kyčera, Dudácká muzika Praštěnka, Slovácký krúžek v Praze, Malá česká muzika Jiřího Pospíšila, and Pěvecký sbor Kantár. From 19:00, Cimbal Classic will perform a gala concert, and from 21:00, CM Demižon will play music for listening and dancing.

About the venue: Vzlet

Vzlet is a multifunctional cultural centre in the Vršovice district of Prague 10, housed in an Art Deco building dating from 1921. Originally a cinema, it later served as a film archive warehouse before reopening after reconstruction in 2021. The centre was founded by three Prague cultural organisations: theatre company VOSTO5, baroque orchestra Collegium 1704, and Kino Pilotů. It hosts concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and other live arts, and includes the Vzlet Café on site.
