A theatrical performance based on Karel Čapek's classic play, presented through a combination of live acting and puppetry. The production was created in collaboration with the Czech Centre of the International PEN Club to mark the centenary of Čapek's renowned work.

About the venue: Švanda Theatre

Švandovo divadlo na Smíchově is a Prague city theatre with a tradition dating back to 1881, when it was founded by Pavel Švanda ze Semčic. After extensive renovation it reopened in 2002. It has two performance spaces – the Large Hall (300 seats) and the basement Studio (44–100 seats). The repertoire features productions by the resident drama ensemble as well as guest companies; it is the first Prague drama theatre to offer English surtitles.
