Tady Vary: Mouchy

Fifty-year-old Olga lives in a meticulously kept apartment in the heart of Mexico City, with everything firmly under control except for her noisy neighbours – until circumstances force her to rent out a spare room. The new flatmate doesn't come alone: he secretly brings his nine-year-old son Cristian with him. Olga initially reacts to the presence of this small intruder with reluctance, but gradually finds her way to the boy to her own surprise.

Director Fernando Eimbcke's film, connected among other things by a shared passion for arcade games, is screened as a world premiere as part of the Tady Vary 2025/26 project – a film season with a subscription to 10 festival evenings between September 2025 and June 2026. Once a month, audiences walk into the cinema on a red carpet and watch the premiere together with cinemas across the Czech Republic; each evening includes an introduction broadcast to all cinemas.
