HOTHOUSE

Hothouse is a five-member band currently based in Prague. Their expansive, fragmented and often brisk instrumental compositions create an enveloping atmosphere, against which emotional and desperate-sounding vocals resound. Their debut album "Finally, We Are Well, Stable" was released in October 2025 on the Brno-based label Kabinet Records.

OTK

OTK is a Czech rock band founded in 1988 in Prague. In its early days, it was personally and musically connected with Tata bojs, with whom it regularly organizes anniversary concerts - in 2003 at the now-defunct Delta club where the band performed in its early years, and in 2008 celebrated 20 years at the TJ Sokol Hanspaulka gymnasium, where they played their very first concert.

During its existence, OTK has released four albums, numerous compilations and a remix album of the song Klan. The band's artistic director is Ondřej Ježek, who besides OTK works as a sound engineer and runs his own recording studio. In 2003, OTK won the Anděl Award from the Academy of Popular Music for the album Sona a kuva in the Alternative Scene category; their next album Okolo was declared Album of the Year in 2008.

Each new work by the band differs musically significantly from the previous one - Sona a Kuva is quieter and more poetic compared to KOT, while Okolo ranks among the hardest things OTK has released. The connecting element remains Ježek's melancholic singing, sometimes screamed, sometimes recited, melodic invention, raw guitars, refined sound and hypnotically repetitive, instrumentally skilled rhythm section. The lyrics are symbolic and concise, with a single sentence often repeated in the chorus.

The band's lineup changed frequently over the years, which was reflected in the sound of their recordings - trumpet featured prominently on KOT, while keyboards by Honza Klempíř appeared on Okolo. In 2014, now with drummer Vít Holub, the band released a cover album Atentát na Wericha, which was meant to divert attention from an album not intended for the internet. For the thirtieth anniversary of their first concert, the album Druhá šance, a collection of cover versions, was released in 2018. OTK is among the main pillars of the Silver Rocket label and frequently performs at various events.
