Bio Blues Festival: Ben Poole Band (UK) and DD Rey (FR)

DD Rey (FR)

Victor Sbrovazzo, founder of the band Dirty Deep, decided to pursue a solo career after ten years in the trio and forge his own path. He is considered a successor to delta blues legends such as Son House and John Lee Hooker, while also influenced by singer-songwriters from the Appalachian region. Since 2011, he has toured Europe and North America with just a guitar and harmonica as his only accompaniment. His music alternates between raw, driving blues rhythms and quieter passages reminiscent of a campfire under the starry sky.

Ben Poole Band (UK)

Guitarist and singer Ben Poole is among the most prominent names on the British blues scene in recent years. He has shared the stage with Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, and John Mayall, earning their recognition. Total Guitar magazine named him a guitarist worth following.

He first entered the British Blues Awards in 2012, and a year later represented the United Kingdom at the European Blues Challenge. He has released three albums: his debut "Everything I Want" (2010) was produced by guitarist Bernie Tormé, the second, "Let's Go Upstairs", featured Isaac Nossel, and his third album from 2016 consists of recordings from a concert at London's Royal Albert Hall.
