SMACK ONE

Smack, born Jakub Janeček, is a Czech rapper, DJ, and producer. He rose to prominence as the first grime MC in the Czech Republic with the group Iscream Boyz (Smack, Fuckstroy, DJ Double J, and DJ Shadow Drop) and is the founder of the Archetyp 51 label. He also appeared on the Iscream Show radio programme on Spin radio and wrote artist profiles for various internet radio stations and boombap.cz.

In 2007 and 2008, he released Iscream Mixtape vol. 1 and 2 with Iscream Boyz, followed by Bullet Time The Mixtape in 2010 and the EP Wrap You a year later. In 2012, his debut solo album 2051 arrived with hits including Oheň and Nevíš Co Sem Dělal Dřív. Nearly a year after his debut, he released the mixtape Hudba Pro Zmrdy and later that same year Scream CD III.

Smack has collaborated with numerous rappers from the CZ/SK scene, including Orion, Hugo Toxxx, Otecko, Marat, Igor, and Wladimir 518, as well as several UK grime artists and DJs. From the start of his career, he has identified with grime rather than hip-hop.

In 2014, he released his second studio album P'S a Love, which won an Anděl award in the hip-hop category. Three music videos have been made for the album so far: P'S a Love, Králové, and Rocky.
