Film and Architecture Festival
The fifteenth edition of the Film and Architecture Festival takes viewers from a community centre in Amsterdam through an abandoned Danish silo to a research station in Antarctica. Under the motto "To Be or Not to Be", the festival explores how bold architectural visions transform housing and entire cities, and who decides the shape of public space. The programme features portraits of prominent architects and stories of people fighting for safer and more dignified places to live.
The festival runs from Wednesday, 30 September to Monday, 5 October 2026 across more than thirty cities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Screenings will take place at Prague cinemas Světozor and Edison Filmhub, Brno's Art cinema, and the Faculty of Architecture at VUT. Most films are Czech premieres that won't reach regular distribution, and many screenings will be accompanied by their creators.
