Transparent, or The King is Naked (7-10 years) — St. Agnes Convent, Prague

Music and movement workshop for children aged 7-10

To have so much power and strength! And to feel like a king! But does true power lie in a crown, throne, and armour? What actually makes a king a king? In this movement workshop with instructor Hana Novotná, we will explore the lightness and weight of our own bodies. Our inspiration will be the Madonna of Zbraslav, holding a small child in light, almost transparent robes. Can a fragile being give courage to others? And which royal virtue will you discover in yourself?

Instructor: Hana Novotná

Hana works with movement both on the theatre stage and in music education - teaching children of all ages. She finds inspiration in encounters with masters of her craft and in close connection with music. She is a graduate and teacher at JAMU in Brno and an instructor with the Czech Orff Society. In her work, she combines music, dance, rhythm, and improvisation with artistic and dramatic elements.
