TOWER OF TONES! (9+)
Orchestral workshop for children 9+
A strong tower stands only when each of its parts is in its proper place - and the same goes for a tower made of sounds. With violinist and violist Dagmar Valentová, children will build music from solid foundations to high notes, find a common sound, and discover what holds an orchestra together. The inspiration comes from the compelling story of Saint Barbara, patron of miners, soldiers, carpenters, and goldsmiths, who became protector against sudden and unexpected death.
You can join if you play an instrument for at least three years and can read a simple melody from sheet music. String and wind players are welcome. Sheet music parts will be sent out at the end of September.
