Three Faces of Romanticism

The concert "Three Faces of Romanticism" offers three perspectives on music from the first half of the 19th century: operatic playfulness, virtuosic solo concerto, and symphonic music full of emotion. The evening opens with Rossini's overture to the opera "The Barber of Seville" - light, spirited, and melodically striking. This is followed by Weber's Clarinet Concerto No. 1, in which clarinetist Anna Paulová presents a work combining technical brilliance with lyricism and romantic atmosphere. The second half of the evening concludes with Schubert's "Unfinished" Symphony, a work of exceptional depth that, even after nearly two centuries, remains one of the most powerful compositions in the romantic repertoire.
