Connie, Leona, Millie, and Mary are Southern ladies whose greatest life excitement over the past 30 years has been their weekly bridge game. When one of them suddenly dies, the friends handle it in their own way: they borrow the ashes of the deceased Mary from the funeral home for one last card game together.

When they discover that Mary has sent them a remarkable gift from beyond, a quiet evening transforms into the wildest celebration they could ever imagine. And through it all, they realize that "living" means truly "enjoying" life—while there's still time.
